Our shampoo base is a natural Olive derivative to which various botanical extracts, essential oils and distilled water are added. We do not use non-ionic surfactants and SLES (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) found in most commercial shampoos, cleansers, gels etc. It is possible that some people can experience a “hair detox” when first using our Hair Shampoos. This is normally due to a build up of silicone derivatives found in commercial shampoos previously used. For the first two or three washes, the hair may seem tangled and dry. However, if you follow your shampoo with one of our natural/organic Hair Conditioner or Hair Mask treatments, condition should be restored quickly. All shampoos are biodegradable, are free of any toxic ingredients and adhere to our strict stance on zero environmental impact.

“We do not use any synthetic fragrances in our products with the exception of 4 of our African Indigenous products in which we use a tiny amount of Vanilla Parfum to fragrance the products. This Parfum is a synthetic. The reason for us using it is that the Certified Organic Vanilla oil does not “hold” its fragrance in these particular products. We attempted to discontinue this Vanilla Parfum but so many customers demanded that we keep the products exactly as they are that we agreed to keep the Vanilla Parfum in. All four products continue to be top sellers. These products are Mango and Vanilla Hydrating Body Butter, Mango and Vanilla Exfoliating Salt Body Scrub, Wild Rosemary and Vanilla Shower Gel, Olive and Vanilla Hair Conditioner with Baobab”
